About IIC
Under the directives of MHRD of Govt. of India, all the Higher Educational Institutions have established a council called Institution Innovation Council (IIC) to promote the innovation and entrepreneurship culture among the students. This is basically a supportive ecosystem which tries to give multiple levels of support for the student innovators.
The Major focus of IIC of SCAD College of Engineering and Technology is to :
- Conduct a series of Innovation & Entrepreneurship related activities round the year, in a structured and time bound manner to nurture the innovation and entrepreneurial skills and mindset among the interested students
- Mobilize the required hardware and software resources, dedicated work spaces and seed funding to help students and faculty convert your ideas into demonstrable proof of concepts and working prototypes.
- Encourage student innovators to participate in hackathons, demo days and design contests and connect them to the mentors , both in the technology front as well as in the business front
- Give the required hand holding and pre incubation support, for the budding student entrepreneurs aspiring to start business ventures / startups based on their innovative ideas.
