Carrier Guidence Programme

On November 12, 2024, the Bridge to Career program, organized by the Career Guidance Club at SCAD College of Engineering & Technology, was successfully held with the aim of providing students with valuable insights into career planning and development. The event saw an enthusiastic turnout of approximately 148 students and was efficiently managed by the club’s dedicated student leaders. The program was led by the Career Guidance Club President, Ms. Dharshini, 2nd-year Civil Engineering student, and Vice President, Mr. Anand Raj, 3rd-year Electrical and Electronics Engineering student. The session was introduced by Ms. Bhuvaneswari, 1st-year Computer Science Engineering student and the club’s Secretary.Dr. Justin Dhiraviam, Principal of SCAD College of Engineering Mrs. M. Mariselvi, In-Charge of the Career Guidance Club Mrs. Jeyashri Lakshmi, Overall Club Coordinator M-Team Leaders.The highlight of the program was the guest lecture delivered by Mr. V. Antony Patturaj, Marketing Director of Suresh Academy, who shared his expertise on career development. The session focused on essential aspects of professional growth, including Strategies for building a successful career post-graduation. Navigating the job market and understanding its current demands developing key skills necessary for professional success. Mr. Antony Patturaj provided the students with practical advice on making informed career choices, skill development, and transitioning smoothly from academic to professional life. His insights were particularly valuable to students seeking to understand how to position themselves effectively in the competitive job market.Throughout the session, students actively participated by asking thoughtful questions about career planning, skills development, and job market trends. Mr.Antony Patturaj also took the time to address individual queries, offering personalized guidance based on students’ specific needs and aspirations. This interaction underscored the students’ eagerness to learn and gain practical tools for shaping their future careers.  The Bridge to Career program was a resounding success and exemplified the Career Guidance Club’s commitment to supporting students in their professional development. It empowered students with the confidence and knowledge to navigate their career journeys effectively. The event not only helped students gain valuable insights into career planning but also underscored SCAD College of Engineering’s dedication to providing its students with the resources they need to excel in their chosen fields. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the club’s Treasurer, Ms. Josifa, a 1st-year Computer Science Engineering student, who expressed gratitude to all involved in the event’s success, including the guest speaker, club members, resource persons, and participating students. With initiatives like this, SCAD College of Engineering & Technology continues to play a pivotal role in preparing students for successful careers after graduation
