Civil Engineering is a basic branch of engineering which practice” improving and maintaining the built environment to enhance the quality of life for the present and future generations.Department of Civil Engineering was established in the academic year 2012-2013 with an intake of 60 BE students.The department has well equipped state-of-the-art laboratories for Surveying, Soil Testing, Cement and Concrete Testing, Highway Material Testing, Quality Testing of Water and Waste Water Samples.Many of our faculty members and students are involved in research activities The department is also very active in conducting workshops, short term seminars and constantly arrange industrial visits to enhance practical knowledge of students.Infrastructure to the worth of more than 2 Crores.Smart Class Rooms for Effective teaching Learning Process. Well Qualified, Committed and resourceful Faculty Members rich in Industrial and teaching experience.Well Equipped and Sophisticated Laboratories and Students are encouraged to participate in inter college Competition, Symposiums, Workshops and seminar.Internships for all students during the vacation Period.Guests Lectures and training by leading Consultants, Engineers and Academicians from reputed Institutions.Regular Industrial Visit to Improve the Practical Knowledge.Training on Total station (Advanced Instrument Used for Surveying) for One Week by Leading Company from Chennai.Special Coaching for Students to face Competitive Exams like GATE,UPSE,TNPSC etc.Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, IIRS,ISRO recognized outreach Network Institution.Value Added Courses Like AUTO CAD,STAAD Pro, Revit Architecture etc are offered to the students regularly.The students are provided with skill & placement training to develop their knowledge to face the competitive world to gain success in their career. The department has nurtured young minds to produce bright able civil engineers.
