INTERNAL COMMITTEE (IC)

About Internal Committee: 

                                   An Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) is a dedicated body within an organization  tasked with handling complaints related to sexual harassment and discrimination in the  workplace. Comprising members from various departments and levels of the organization,  the ICC ensures fair and impartial investigation of complaints, maintaining confidentiality  throughout the process. Mandated by laws and regulations, such as the Sexual Harassment of  Women at Workplace Act, ICCs aim to create a safe and inclusive work environment by  providing support to complainants, educating employees on prevention, and recommending  appropriate actions to address instances of harassment or discrimination. Through their  efforts, ICCs play a crucial role in fostering a culture of respect, equality, and accountability  within organizations. The principal and the management are presented in the  recommendations of the committee and further requested with the Redressal of the same for  action.

Objectives: 

       The core objectives of the Internal Committee of our institution are to: 

  1. Provide a safe and supportive environment for employees to report incidents of harassment and discrimination.
  2. Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into complaints, ensuring fairness and confidentiality for all parties involved.
  3. Take appropriate actions to address confirmed cases of harassment or discrimination, including disciplinary measures as necessary.
  4. Educate employees about their rights and responsibilities regarding harassment and discrimination prevention through training programs and awareness campaigns. 5. Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of policies and procedures, making improvements as needed to create a respectful and inclusive workplace  culture.

Functions of the committee: 

  1. To disseminate the contact details of the members of the Internal Complaints  Committee, complaints procedure in websites and other prominent places of the  institution.
  2. To organize training programs, workshops for the functionaries, faculty and students  creating awareness on the rights and responsibilities under the regulations. 
  3. To train the members to deal with the complaints with sensitivity. 
  4. To collect and address the complaints through mail, suggestion box to be kept in all  prominent places.
