The main aim of conducting village visit is to explore the problems that are present in villages. These problems reflect more in daily routine work of villagers or some additional problems of village activities such as farming techniques, educational issues in schools or any other such issues. Benefits of such visits are that problems in villages are addressed and tried to be solved to make it better and smart village, and move with the technological advancements. Secondly students will also develop their observation skills from very first year of engineering which will be very beneficial to them throughout their engineering life. For this purpose, the NSS unit of our SCAD College organized and village visit on 29th November 2024. Around 247 first year students along with 12 faculty members have been to Harikesavanallur and Vellanguli village of Tirunelveli District. The coordinators have made group of 5-6 students (girls and boys separate groups) who have conducted a door to door survey and have collected data. Along with this when students who visited the village accumulate primary data, secondary data as well as special data such as population. This event was coordinated by Mr. John Sekar NSS Program officer SCADCET. A total of four busses were arranged for the students and faculty whom had undertaken the village visit.
